Clean attractive midgrade set consigned from our Texas Find from the family of the original owner. These cards like the others in the find were initially stored carefully tucked into an old photo album. At some point however the original collector removed the cards from the album and placed them in traditional plastic binder sheets. The process of removing the cards from the photo album and placing them into the binder sheets unfortunately resulted in corner dings and flips that have reduced the overall technical grade of the set. The cards however are quite attractive for their condition bursting with bright color and original gloss due to their method of storage. We selected eight cards to be graded by PSA. They are: #2 Ted Williams (PSA VG-EX 4) #4 Al Kaline (PSA EX 5) #47 Hank Aaron (PSA EX 5) #50 Jackie Robinson (PSA VG-EX 4) #123 Sandy Koufax (RC - PSA EX 5) #124 Harmon Killebrew (RC - PSA VG-EX+ 4.5) #164 Roberto Clemente (RC - PSA EX+ 5.5) and #194 Willie Mays (PSA NM 7 MC). The remaining key cards in the set would grade out similarly ageraging between VG and VG/EX. In fact a condition breakdown of the entire set would be 2% EX/MT 35% EX; 40% VG/EX; 20% VG and 3% lesser. A very attractive set fresh to the hobby one of the most important and highly desirable sets of the 1950s. 206 cards total.
