Remarkable early baseball book measuring 11" x 15 1/2" with a heavy hard cover and cloth binding "The Book Of Baseball" is loaded with early history and photographs of the game's Deadball Era stars. This example is extremely well-worn with most of that wear relegated to the cover which exhibits scratching and staining tears at the spine and is overall extremely delicate. The interior pages are preserved much better; while the book has clearly been heavily used the pages are all intact and the photos and text clean and clear. A wonderful vintage book notable for the photography alone.
