Among the rarest of all tobacco issues the T208 issue was an 18-card set distributed in 1911 by the Thomas Cullivan Tomacco Company of Syracuse NY. The cards were issued to commemorate the 1910 Champion Athletics and include all the members of the club. Today finding a Cullivan's Fireside card in any condition is a major prize for type collectors; fewer than 75 examples have been graded by either SGC or PSA. They are extremely rare. Presented here is the highest-graded Cullivan's Fireside card in existence. In fact no other card from the T208 issue has graded higher than VG/EX by either company. This is simply the finest graded T208 Cullivan's Fireside card in existence. One of only two graded T208 Krause cards known (the other is graded PSA POOR 1) this is a bold bright crease-free example with strong square corners and a very slight tilt. The reverse is equally bright and strong though there is some bleed through of the bold red ink on the reverse. The finest known graded example from one of the most rare and desirable of all the tobacco issues.Note: this was originally labeled as a "Sullivan's Fireside" card online and in our catalog due to an overzealous autocorrect feature.
