1913/14 Baseball World Tour commemorative booklet the cover of which has become detached so our consignor had the foresight to recognize its beauty and have it matted and framed creating an attractive display. The remainder of the book measuring approximately 7 1/2" x 10" is intact and describes the lengthy tour during which members of the "White Sox" and "Giants" played one another in cities around the world from Cincinnati throughout the American South and West to Japan China the Phillippines Australia Egypt Italy France and London. The book contains beautiful photography including subjects like Charles Comiskey John McGraw Bill Klem Tris Speaker Sam Crawford Buck Weaver Jim Thorpe Ivey Wingo Urban Faber and many more. Certainly in poor condition technically the book and cover display well and are an extraordinary piece of baseball history.
