I have one to sell!
One of the coolest items in the entire Dennis Clotworthy collection is something not used by a major league baseball player at all - it's this complete 1966 Tiger Stadium uniform dated to the date of order (March 24 1966) printed on the inner tag. In outstanding condition given its age and manner of use the heavy cloth jacket appears to be size 40 x 16 3/4" kelly green with a black lining. The jacket has a four-button front with two breast pockets and a green and gold "Tiger Stadium" cloth patch sewn onto the left breast. A Tiger Staium Usher button is pinned to the right breast pocket measuring about 3 1/2" in diameter. The accompanying pants were manufactured May 28 of 1964 size 36 x 30" manufactured for an usher named "Yancheson " whose name is both typed onto the Jack Stark & Son tag and written on the inner waistband. The pants are very well-worn with a few hand-sewn repairs and some holes from age and wear. The gold striping is stained and discolored with age. Despite this the display characteristics of this extremely rare item are very strong. We were fortunate enough to find during our research a 1960s photo of a Tiger Stadium usher wearing what appears to be the exact style of blazer underneath what appears to be a heavy wool jacket. A beautiful and unique Tigers-related collectible with incredible aesthetic appeal.
