One of two postcards created by the Simplicity Co. of Chicago prior to the 1907 World Series that pitted the Tigers against the Cubs this example depicts an illustrated tiger battered and beaten lying in a coffin. The gloating meessage "Died October '07 Clubbed to death - too bad" appears above the illustration. The company created a similar postcard depicting a bear cub in the coffin with artwork virtually identical in every other way. Ungraded the card is in FAIR condition with chipping to the edges and surface.
