This circa 1870s CDV features a unique image of what appears to be baseball players sitting in chairs while in front of a tent and with fishing and hunting gear. One of the subjects holds a rifle in the back row. The horizontal photo is presented to us by Howard's Gallery of Akron Ohio whose advertising information is printed on the reverse. With moderate fading and general wear that is consistent with its age this is a slightly bizarre but truly interesting CDV that shows really early baseball equipment.
