Scarce in any grade the 1933 Worch Cigar American Association issue is such that the checklist has not yet been completed. THought the issue is not identified on the cards the player photos were available as premiums for redemption of cigar bands by Worch Cigar of St. Paul Minnesota. The set includes players from the Minneapolis Millers St. Paul Saints Columbus Redbirds Kansas City Blues and according to the Standard Catalog "A few other teams." Included here are four examples from the Worch Cigar issue two with the Minneapolis Journal photo credit two with the St. Paul Daily News credit. The collection includes two duplicates of Robert "Bob" Fenner plus Pinky Hargrave and Joe Hauser often considered to be among the two most scarce in the set. Also included is one example of Linus Frey from the tough PC786 Orcajo Postcard issue of 1937-39 with the Val Decker Packing Company designation. The cards all grade approximately VG/EX with the Hauser slightly better due to sharper corners and a cleaner image. All five however are quite vivid and clean. Five cards total from two scarce regional issues of the 1930s including one of the most difficult cards of the 1933 Worch AA set.
