Collection of four important modern sets each containing key cards that are cornerstones among modern collectors. Each of these attractive sets has been hand-collated and has various strong points from a collecting standpoint. Included in this grouping you will find:• 1975 Topps (660 cards): A clean set averaging EX to EX+ condition with quite a few better and some worse (team card checklists are filled in) the set was assembled without regard to centering leading to off-centered cards typical of 1970s Topps quality control along with a few miscuts. The set"s key rookie cards include #223 Yount (strong EX/MT); #228 Brett (EX); #616 Rice (VG/EX); #620 Carter (EX); and #623 Hernandez (VG/EX). Card #660 Hank Aaron is G/VG with an upper-left corner crease.• 1977 Topps (660 cards): A very strong and sharp set likely assembled from wax boxes due to the presence of cards with occasional wax or gum stains. All are very sharp with NMT to EX/MT corners and edges but the typical touch-and-go Topps centering from the 1970s. Some of the cards of course have been handled more than others but this is a sharp set that includes some very high-grade cards.• 1979 Topps (726 cards): A strong set unfortunately stored at a tilt so that all the cards are slightly bowed (but not creased or damaged otherwise) an issue that could easily be remedied by storing the cards flat for a period. The overwhelming majority of the cards are sharp but gently handled in the EX/MT range with many much better (and several duplicate Reggie Jacksons). The Ozzie Smith is well-centered left-to-right but off center top-to-bottom likely EX or EX+ condition.• 1980 Topps (726 cards): An outstanding set the majority of the cards appear to have been stored immediately after opening. This set is subject to centering issues just like all Topps cards of the 1970s and 80s and the 1980 set has the added challenge of occasional rough cut edges some of which are present in this group. Still there are some very high grade cards included in this assortment. The Henderson is particularly sharp fairly well-centered with just a tiny blemish at the lower-right corner keeping it out of any holder higher than NM/MT.
