The T3 Turkey Red cabinet set is one of the most beautiful and popular prewar card issues. The 100-card set features most of the popular stars of the day and is known today for the stunning cards of Ty Cobb Nap Lajoie Cy Young Christy Mathewson and the many other deadball era icons that populate the set.One of the lesser-known subjects of the set first baseman Kitty Bransfield is also one of the more difficult to obtain. With a total graded population (PSA and SGC) of just 24 the Bransfield is one of those cards that has proven to be difficult among set collectors for whatever reason.Presented here is a collector-grade copy of Bransfield"s T3 card. Graded POOR 10 by SGC the card"s primary flaw is the obvious damage in the top center of the card"s border. Indeed many cabinet-sized cards have similar damage as youngsters thumbtacked their cabinets to their walls as bedroom decorations. While the resulting damage to this Bransfield is significant the image itself is in solid condition.
