The T3 Turkey Red Cigarettes cabinet-format set of 1911 is a tremendously popular issue among prewar collectors today. The advent of large-format grading company holders has only increased the demand for these cards as the holders now offer protection for these colorful lithograph images.Due to their size and beauty T3s are often found with pinholes in the top border as they were hung on the bedroom walls of young baseball fans. This Smith does not feature such wear although there is discoloration along the right edge of the card perhaps due to the method of storage. As with many of these cards the card"s large size has provided the image with some protection from wear as the player image appears colorful and bright. This card features the Turkey Red ad back which is clear and crisp despite some mild border wear along the top of the card.
