The T227 "Series of Champions" cards were issued with Honest Long Cut and Miner's Extra tobacco brands and featured four baseball stars (Cobb Bender Baker and Marquard) among the 25-card set that included other famous athletes. The oversized cards are prized among collectors who despite the small size of the set still have difficulty completing just the baseball players due to the scarcity of the cards as well as the expense. The cards are typically found in collector grades as is the case with this example of Cobb graded POOR 10 by SGC due to paper loss on the front as well as additional wear consistent with the grade. Still the image of Cobb is splendid and the card far more attractive than most examples from the issue that we have encountered.
