Beautiful photo of Hall of Fame pitcher Chief Bender in approximately EX condition due to very minor wear at the corner and edges. While a Pinkerton Postcard reverse of Chief Bender is known to exist we believe this to be a photo from the T5 Pinkerton cabinet of Baker that has been removed from its mount. The reverse has a spot of paper loss at the top edge consistent with having been removed from its mount. Regardless the image is quite handsome and is certainly scarce; a wonderful photograph in silver-gelatin featuring an extremely popular pitcher.
