Crisp colorful and perfectly centered "pack fresh" does not begin to describe the quality of this 1958 Mantle because "pack fresh" cards in 1958 were typically poorly centered and often included wax or gum stains along with corner dings. Appearing instead as if the card was freshly cut at the printer by a diligent pressman the superlatives that we often read in the descriptions in competitive auctions are best utilized for a card such as this. Virtually unblemished it is almost difficult to believe that a card so clean and well-centered could possibly exist more than fifty years after its original date of issue. Still here it is a wonderful addition to any collection a near-perfect example of one of the most popular cards of one of the game"s greatest and most widely-collected players.
