A different issue from the 1961 Fleer Football set the 1961 Fleer Wallet Pictures issue are printed on thin paper typically hand-cut from The 1961-62 Complete Sports Pro-Football Illustrated (the cover advertises a "Pro Pix Wallet Album"). The set is comprised of 145 pictures many of which also appear in the 1961 Fleer football set.Hand-cut issues present a particular set of problems when it comes to grading. In general it is difficult to cut borders precisely enough that a card is awarded a high grade. Further photographic issues present their own sets of problems with respect to their lightweight paper; it is difficult to find photographic issues in high grade. Indeed of the 258 examples of cards from the 1961 Fleer Wallet Pictures set that PSA has graded just 20 have attained a grade of GEM MINT 10 and we are offering 15 of them here.Encased in their holders these cards appear to be gorgeous perfectly-centered photographs similar in nature to 1939 Playball baseball cards only sized more appropriately to the card sizes we have today.
