Attractive 8x10" photo of American hero John Glenn signed and inscribed in black fiber-tip pen at the bottom. Glenn served as a pilot in the US Marines subsequently becoming an astronaut where he would be the first American in orbit and just the fifth person in space. Glenn received the Congressional Space Medal of Honor in 1978 and served as a Senator from Ohio between 1974 and 1999. In 1998 while still in office Glenn became the oldest person to fly in space when he flew in the Space Shuttle at age 77. Glenn a US Navy Test Pilot flew 149 combat missions in World War II and the Korean War serving as Ted Williams' wingman during the former war. He received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2012. Certainly an autograph worth owning. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
