A miniature "Back Run" of E90-1 American Caramel Harry Krause cards featuring a standard card as well as a blank backed card. Blank-backed cards are typically sought after by advanced collectors however they present an interesting set of questions with respect to caramel issues. Since various issues often share the same player image without the back it becomes difficult - or impossible - to determine the issuer of the card. Is it an E92 blank back? An E101? As you can see it is difficult to determine which makes blank-backed caramel issues typically less desirable. In this case however we are unaware of any other caramel issue of Krause that utilizes this particular pose and color combination beyond his E90-1. While he does have a T206 pose (as well as his T3) that are clearly illustrated from the same photo the differences are easily determined. Based on this the card is certainly a blank-backed E90-1. Both cards have been graded GOOD 30 by SGC though the blank backed card is clearly more worn with a washed-out color and several creases. Still it is less the condition that is important about the card and more the scarcity of the blank back. An interesting pair of cards from a popular caramel issue.
