Gorgeous example from the 1936 R311 leather finish issue graded EX 60 by SGC but appearing much stronger. The unnumbered blank-backed premiums were issued by the National Chicle Company measuring 6" x 8". The "leather" finish cards are more scarce than the plain-paper examples and included just 15 cards in the set including team photos of the Tigers and Cubs. This classic image of the Tigers Hall of Fame infielder is a crisp clean one with the tougher "National Studio" printed at the card bottom.
