One of the more interesting set designs of the 1960s the 1967 Topps Football set depicts each player inside an oval frame surrounded by stylized topography featuring the team name in each of the top corners flanking the photo. The last Topps football set that featured exclusively players from the AFL the 1967 images are surrounded by brilliant white borders making well-centered high-grade examples extraordinarily attractive. Presented is an extremely high-grade complete set with each card graded by PSA and just one card graded below NM-MT 8. Each and every card is simply stated beautiful - well-centered with vivid colors and a glossy bright finish. Few known sets are as attractive as this; in fact of 61 sets on PSA's current finest list just nine others are 100% complete with a GPA of 8 or above. As previously mentioned all but one of the set's 132 cards have been graded PSA NM-MT 8 but one: the last card in the set (the issue's toughest card #131 Leslie "Speedy" Duncan) which has been graded NM 7. In addition to the multitude of PSA 8s in the set the following higher-grade cards comprise the set: PSA MINT 9 (13 cards): #18 Barber #26 Saimes (1/10 2 higher) #37 Matsos #48 Burrell (1/5 just 1 higher) #62 Hunt #63 Coan #69 Bell (HOF) #85 Evans (1/7 none higher) #90 Baker #95 Hill #104 Bass #124 MacKinnon #126 Petrich PSA NM-MT+ 8.5 (4 cards): #8 Oakes #40 Leetzow #58 Ladd (1/3 10 higher) #80 West. With the exception of the aforementioned card of Duncan (a true condition-sensitive bear of a card with just 15 examples graded PSA 8 and one 9 in existence) all the other cards in the set have been graded PSA NM-MT 8. This set contains several true condition rarities as well as high-grade examples of the set's 11 Hall of Famers (including Namath and Alworth). An absolutely gorgeous set. 132 cards total.
