As is the case with the T206 issue the Piedmont Factory 42 reverse is extremely scarce with T205s. Despite the scarcity the backs are often unnoticed due to the familiar Piedmont advertisement. However astute collectors have silently been acquiring these backs for some time recognizing their difficulty and waiting for the hobby to catch on. Indeed an extensive study conducted by collector Joshua Levine and published in the Spring 2007 issue of SGC Collector magazine indicates that the Factory 42 reverse accounts for less than 1% of all T205s. In this case the card in question is one of the issue's tougher Hall of Famers - the "mouth open" pose of A's second baseman Eddie Collins. The card graded FAIR 20 by SGC due to creasing and overall wear certainly represents an unusual front/back combination one in high demand among advanced collectors regardless of grade.
