Similar in design to the 1917 E135 Collins-McCarthy cards this issue was produced by Boston Store department stores which were located primarily in the midwest. The 200-card issue contained black and white player photo with an ad on the reverse for the retailer. The cards are particularly scarce today highly sought after by type card collectors. This example features the popular Red Sox outfielder Duffy Lewis as graded VG/EX 50 by SGC. The card is quite alluring well-centered with very little corner wear and an even toning throughout.
