Ownership of a T206 Cobb is a badge of honor for many prewar collectors - a rite of passage that signifies a move to higher-end cards. Many of us can remember owning our first T206 Cobb; typically it was a collector-grade example with a crisp registration and color something just beyond our price range at the time but something that gave us chills to hold in our hand. Presented is that card a collector-grade example of Cobb's "Bat Off Shoulder" T206 graded FAIR 20 by SGC due to a series of heavy creases that traverse directly across the center of the card but do not in any way interfere with the image of Cobb's face his famous spread grip or the colorful sunset behind the Georgia Peach. The Piedmont 350-460 (Factory 25) reverse is clean with just a few minor spots that do not interfere with the familiar blue ad. Any card of Ty Cobb is a thrill to own; a T206 Cobb is one of the first "key" Hall of Famers most of us learned about and thus the T206 Cobb holds a place in collectors' hearts seldom achieved by other cards.
