Eventually it becomes difficult to continuously write superlatives that describe cards as being more attractive than the technically accurate but unfortunately assigned grade and yet that is what we are forced to do with the outstanding run of EX-MT cards from the 1933 Goudey set featured in our auction. Culled from the collection of an advanced hobbyist assembling an extraordinary 1933 Goudey set featuring high-grade Hall of Famers each of these cards were part of a higher-grade set that were pulled and replaced with upgrades. This example of Tris Speaker's card #89 is sharp as a NM card with a brightly-colored image with centering keeping the card in an EX-MT holder. Still a wonderful example of a popular card.
