As a precursor to its wildly popular Heritage series in 1991 Topps reprinted its beautiful 1953 issue adding some "cards that never were" and reviving interest in the gorgeous issue. The cards which experienced a brief spike in value upon their initial release but remained affordable became excellent vehicles for autographs from the set's surviving subjects.
