The 1907 Grignon postcard issue featured 16 members of the World Champion Chicago Cubs including Hall of Famers Three Finger Brown Frank Chance Johnny Evers and Joe Tinker. Considered scarce and desirable today this example is a postally-used one that features Brown the Hall of Fame pitcher. Mailed on an unknown date (the postmark is illegible) addressed to Will Krick of Iowa the inscription on the reverse clearly indicates that Krick had a nickname of "King William." This is unfortnate as the sender also crossed out Brown's name and team affiliation on the card front adding "King William" above the picture of Brown for good measure thus dramatically reducing the condition of the card for future collectors. Still this remains an interesting example of a highly collectible postcard.
