The R311 National Chicle premium issues are printed on flimsy paper and are thus extremely difficult to find in higher grades. Between the thin stock and the large 8" x 10" size of the photos they have been susceptible to significant damage including pinholes folds creases and the like. This example of the "Galloping Ghost" Red Grange while technically VG/EX due to some surface wear is stunning the gorgeous "action" photo of grange offset by some interesting biographical information ("He was the most highly paid football player of all time having earned more than $200 000 since leaving college football"). Well-centered with minor wear the display quality of this piece is outstanding.
