Simply an astonishing silver gelatin photo of Buffalo Bill Cody mounted on a 10" x 12" mount (the photo measures approximately 6" x 8 1/4"). Written on the reverse is "At Tampa Bay Hotel Oct. 21 - 1912." According to records on the official Buffalo Bill website the traveling Wild West show was indeed in Tampa on that date. The photo itself actually appears to be in Near Mint condition - completely clean with stunning clarity and contrast. Individual blades of glass are clearly identifiable as are leaves on the trees behind Cody who sits in a wooden rocking chair. An absolutely spectacular original photo one of the sharpest and most clear we have ever encountered of this vintage.
