Vintage Jacksonville Baseball Company check dated to May of 1959 signed by Hall of Famer Bill Terry. Elected to the Hall of Fame in 1954 Terry settled in Jacksonville Florida after his retirement and purchased the Jacksonville Braves AA baseball team in 1958. Terry sold the team shortly thereafter to Craig Cullinan who ultimately became owner of the Houston Colt .45s. The check exhibits some folding and wear the signature of Terry partially impinged upon by the "PAID" bank cancellation stamp. Still an authentic vintage signature of a popular Hall of Famer extremely clear and legible on the business check of a minor league baseball team.
