Founded in 1881 the Underwood & Underwood company was a producer of stereoviews at one point the largest in the world. Eventually the company became known for its news photography. This postcard featuring the 1912 New York Giants as photographed by Underwood & Underwood includes Hall of Famers Christy Mathewson Rube Marquard and Wilbert Robinson along with an inset photo of John McGraw. While the postcard has been graded POOR 10 by SGC it actually presents astoundingly well easily an EX card with the exceptions of writing and an ink stamp on the reverse (though not actual postal use) along with a single small unobtrusive pinhole in the right border of the card. Regardless quite a treasure of a postcard depicting one of the deadball era's most widely collected teams.
