Though card collectors might be more familiar with Crane Potato Chips due to their 1976 "discs" issue, the company also produced sets of team buttons throughout the 1960s. The 1965 pinbacks are identifiable by their red and gold print against a chrome background, the year printed on the reverse. Bags of chips contained a button, each of which represented a major league team. The company produced a ticket-like "chart" onto which each team pin could be affixed. The promotion included a redemption offer, where complete "charts" containing all 20 pins could be exchanged for a free baseball. This redemption offer could account for the relative scarcity of the pins today.

An appealing full set is displayed here, with each pin attached to the proper spot on the redemption chart. Condition is outstanding, with very little wear and discoloration. These pins are often found with significant staining due to the potato chip oils and general aging, but these appear extremely strong. All corners and edges of the redemption chart are worn, but overall it is in GOOD condition. 20 pins total.
