Exceptional tin display. box measuring 18" x 15" x 12" and intended to house packages of Polar Bear scrap tobacco in a retail environment. The box is fully functional, with working hinges and its original chain intact. Graphically beautiful, the piece does exhibit considerable wear consistent with its age and use and yet remains extremely visually pleasing. All the Polar Bear graphic elements and design accents are visible throughout the piece, which does exhibit some scuffing, a few dents, some oxidation at the edges, and some stray splatters of what appears to be white paint here and there. In this case, the wear lends a certain patina to the piece, helping reinforce its age and era but not diminishing its beauty.
