Best known today as an important prosecution witness during the Black Sox trial (after retrieved from hiding out in Mexico), "Sleepy Bill" Burns pitched for five different franchises across a five-year MLB career, playing his best for Washington. This snow-white T206 shows him goofing a bit by putting a left-handed glove on his right hand, perhaps borrowed from a teammate. Its CGC VG 3 offers an image that could grade higher, bordered by corner wear typical of this technical score. Color is excellent, with green ink registration just a touch north. Lovely example of an infamous figure sought by T206 and Black Sox collectors.
