As the last major baseball issue from the American Tobacco Company, the T207 set stands apart from its colorful predecessors with its muted palette and focus on lesser-known ballplayers, making it a favorite among advanced collectors seeking a deeper cut of baseball history. Completing a T207 set is a challenge due to the extreme scarcity of certain cards and back variations. With common cards significantly more difficult to find than with the T205 or T206 issues, the T207 "set" is best thought of as two distinct groups, with 150 of the 200 known cards available with Recruit and Napoleon backs, and the remaining 50 available with Cycle, Broadleaf, Anonymous (Factory 3 or 25), or Red Cross backs. Scattered within those groups are a variety of rarities, tough front-back combinations, and a thin coating of gloss that is extremely susceptible to cracking and wrinkling, resulting in a particularly condition-sensitive issue.

Presented here is an outstanding nearly-complete master set, with just eight cards missing for completion. The set contains many difficult variations and front-back combinations, adding to the desirability of this particular set.
