This member of the "0" series subset took its posers outdoors and near a place where one could play real, actual baseball! O'Brien is one of the pleasing outdoor images of Brooklyn players, complete with a grassy knoll and cloth base along its left edge.

The PSA GOOD 2 (MK) grade is a tough pill to swallow, considering how terrific Jack looks when compared to almost any other N172 player. Its depth of focus and contrast sits head and shoulders above an average image. We can understand how the rounded corners, slanted left edge, and pencil mark on the reverse led to this grade, while also recognizing how its technical particulars will be trumped by superior eye appeal. The population report shows five examples graded, with just one at a higher score.
