A standout catcher of the 19th century and still ranked among its best of all time, Jocko Milligan's batting pose features areas of deep contrast and focus, floating among broader white spaces that give a ghostly impression. All four N172 poses are known with St. Louis as his team, but their PSA population report shows just 15 total graded across all entries, making him a true challenge to obtain any single card.

This PSA EX 5 grade offers clean surfaces (save some foxing on its reverse), a dark and contrasted image, and decent centering with one angled edge. Cards at this grade are rare for N172, and just two of Milligan's batting poses sit as high as EX 5, with none rated better. You can consider this a high-end for a high-performance player.
