Grouping of three attractive cabinet photos featuring early baseball teams. Collection includes the following (clockwise, from top): 1) East McKeesport M.E. Church Club: Early 1900s team photo of what was likely a club affiliated with the Methodist Episcopal church of East McKeesport, PA. The photo measures 8" x 5 1/4" and is mounted to heavy board, likely trimmed from a larger piece at some stage in its life. The reverse exhibits staining and some light pencil markings, but the photo itself, which includes 11 young men, a mascot, and a coach along with a lot of equipment in the foreground, presents well, with some minor soiling in the sky above the players. 2) Pataskala Team Photo: Likely a school team from Pataskala, Ohio, dated 1912 on the reverse. The players are identified in handwriting at the bottom of the mount; a player identified as Joe Atkinson is also identified as "Joe B" in ink writing on the photo itself. Aside from the aforementioned ink writing, the photo appears in outstanding condition, the mount soiled with some edge chipping and handwriting at the bottom. "J.B. Atkinson 1912" is written in the bottom-right corner of the reverse, which also exhibits some paper chipping at the edges. Measures 10" x 8". 3) Unidentified Team Photo: well-appointed team with "M" emblazoned on their caps, jackets, and sweater, the players sit posed on steps leading into what is likely a university building. Photo measures 10" x 8 1/4" and appears to have been trimmed from a larger source, perhaps a photo album. The reverse exhibits some paper loss, abrasions, and pencil writing. The photo itself appears in outstanding condition. Three photos total.
