IUnteresting grouping of lineup cards from the collection of former Dodgers pitcher and major league coach and manager Clyde King. King held onto these cards for his entire life, signifying that the games had special meaning to him, though some of that meaning is difficult to discern today. Collection includes the following: 1) April 7, 1969 San Francisco Giants and Atlanta Braves Lineup Cards: Clyde King's first game as major league manager for the San Francisco Giants, a 5-4 loss to Atlanta, the Braves scoring two runs in the bottom of the ninth to win. 2) April 11, 1969 San Diego Padres Lineup Card: From King's first win as a major league manager, an 8-0 shutout higlighted by Willie Mays' first home run of the season. 3) March 7, 1970 San Francisco Giants Lineup Card: Spring training game. 4) March 8, 1970 San Francisco Giants and Cleveland Indians Lineup Cards: Spring training game. 5) July 25, 1974 Atlanta Braves and San Diego Padres Lineup Cards: King's managerial debut with Atlanta, a 1-0 Braves win. 6) July 27, 1974 Atlanta Braves Lineup Card: 10-0 Braves win, Hank Aaron contributing a three-run home run. 7) July 29, 1974 Atllanta Braves Lineup Card: 10-2 Dodgers victory. 8) Undated Lineup Cards (4): Three Los Angeles Dodgers, likely from the July 27-29 series, plus one Folding lineup card (not pictured) for an undated Atlanta Braves game against the San Diego Padres. 9) Not Pictured: Four blank lineup cards, pocket-sized. Condition varies, with all obviously heavily notated, several on front and back. 14 completed lineup cards total, with four blanks.
