Defenseman and right winger, Joe Hall enjoyed a lengthy amateur and professional career from 1901-19. Playing for multiple teams during his time on the ice, Hall's longest tenure came with the Quebec Bulldogs from 1910-17 where he helped to secure two Stanley Cup championships. Hall's Montreal Canadiens were competing for the cup in 1919 before an influenza outbreak caused the series to be canceled just prior to the deciding game. Several of the players on both teams contracted the flu, including Hall, who tragically died of related pneumonia just days after the series was called off. Joe Hall was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1961. This 1910 Sweet Caporal Postcard of Joe Hall, #2 in the set and his rookie card, exhibits rounding at the corners with clean front and back surfaces. Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA it remains one of only 11 graded examples across both PSA and SGC's population reports combined.
