Beautiful card of Dave Winfield, graded GEM MINT 10 by PSA. A tremendous athlete, Winfield was a pitcher in college, drafted by four teams in three different sports, and never played a game of minor league ball. By 1981 he was a star, and his 1981 signing with the Yankees makes this his last Topps appearance in a Padres uniform. The 10 grade assigned by PSA speaks to the clarity of image and centering, though a tiny fisheye can be observed in the upper right border and a few specks of snow are visible in the lower section of the card.
