Pitcher Grover Lowdermilk toiled for nine seasons in the big leagues, appearing with six different teams and compiling a won-lost record of 23-39. He fared far better in 12 minor league seasons, but control problems kept him from achieving his potential in The Show. Compiling a 5-5 record with a 2.90 ERA in 20 games with the 1919 White Sox, Lowdermilk was one of the "clean" players not involved with the Black Sox scandal. Lowdermilk signed this index card in blue ballpoint, well-centered and clean, authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA. Lowdermilk passed in 1968, long before the autograph boom, making his signature tough to find.
