Rare and highly sought after print on paper stock shows the team aligned in front of their new ballpark - Fenway Park - with manager Jake Stahl, president Jimmy McAleer, and captain Heinie Wagner superimposed above. Standouts Tris Speaker, Harry Hooper, Eddie Cicotte, Smoky Joe Wood and others are easily identifiable, with the names of all players added in print below their likeness. Text crediting the Glines Panoramic Photo Co. of Boston, MA appears in the lower left of the border, with "Boston-American League Champions-1912" along the bottom center. Moisture staining along the bottom edge is evident, though not particularly dark and not at all encroaching into the image area. Some minor areas of wrinkling are visible here and there, with some light foxing at the lower left and what appears to be a scratch or abrasion at the upper right, extending down into the area at the right end of the pennant. The frame measures 28 1/2" x 11 1/2". Though the framing job is not elaborate, it is attractive, with some minor chipping to the wood here and there. The framing prevents us from examining the extreme edges or reverse, though it is likely that the moisture staining extends to the lower edge. Please note that this is an original 1912 large-format print and not a later reproduction known to exist within the hobby.
