A strong central image and clean borders stand out for this T206 of Cleveland's Elmer Flick, a so-called "forgotten" T206 Hall of Famer, at least when compared to its deadball legends who went on to fill out baseball's initial classes in Cooperstown. Flick's own MLB career wrapped up in 1910 and he stayed nearby with two years of minor league ball for Toledo, Ohio, before retiring as a player.
The SGC VG 3 grade reflects its slightly rounded corners and southward shift in yellow and green ink passes. These print issues also give Elmer a more youthful appearance, which he might agree with whether or not they hold back a higher grade. Flick cards are hard to find, even in middle grade, and the population report shows just 11 higher!
