Collection of pieces related to the American Caramel Company, which produced or distributed numerous baseball card issues from 1909 through the late 1920s. Collection includes: 1) Common Stock Certificate: Undated, cancelled certificate. In outstanding condition with some minor edge and corner wear, 10 cancellation punches, and some adhesive marking along the left edge from the book into which it was bound when it was produced. 2) Common Stock Certificate: Unissued 19th Century certificate with receipt still attached. Strong condition with a very small corner clip at the bottom right and edge tears on the receipt, likely the result of being removed from the book it was bound into when issued. Due to being produced on extremely lightweight paper, the certificate does exhibit very mild surface wrinkling throughout, most notably on the receipt, but lies flat in a toploader. 3) Blank Letterhead: Outstanding sheet of letterhead, ornate masthead at the top printed in black and red. The paper is clean, with some very minor age-related discoloration at the edges and corners. Protected by being shrinkwrapped to a piece of foamcore, the seal very strong. 4) National Caramel Packing Slip/Receipt: 1925 receipt for a shipment of multiple boxes of various confections as shipped to a recipient in Slatington, PA. Handwritten pricing and totals at the bottom. Wear at the folds and heavy discoloration in areas throughout, where the piece was likely in contact with more acidic paper during storage. Four pieces total.
