Gimbels latched on to the 200-card "ad on demand" set produced by Felix Mendelsohn in 1916, and the result was an extremely scarce set, where many cards still have not made their way to PSA. Like most examples in their database, this card is the sole example graded, and it is quite extraordinary - high-grade for the issue, with only 27 cards of any subject graded higher. Well-centered with a wonderful image of the "Big Train" at the top of his legendary slingshot delivery, this is among the rarest cards of Johnson that one can obtain and is a remarkable example. An extremely desirable card, one that even many of the hobby's most advanced collectors have never seen.
