Grouping of five highly-collectible "three-finger" model gloves. The three-finger glove was largely a 1950s "evolution," where two fingers would occupy a single spot in the glove. Interest in these gloves declined, ostensibly when players decided they wanted to use their gloves to catch the ball. Collection includes: 1) Hutch Ed Mathews model, all-original with supple leather. Label has worn away, otherwise strong. 2) D&M "Pick Pocket" model, well-worn with tears and some holes, lacing around wrist has begun to break. 3) Rawlings "Playmaker" model, poor condition, writing on wrist strap, broken lacing around webbing, reasonably supple leather. 4) Ken-Wel model, very supple with all-original parts, GOOD condition but ripe for restoration, label and button intact. 5) MacGregor Goldsmith model, POOR condition, missing original lacing and webbing. Five gloves total.
