Autographed 1949 Bowman of youthful outfielder Dave Philley, who went on to an 18-year career, signed in blue ballpoint. The PSA VG-EX 4 grade reflects two slightly rounded corners, with one bump at lower right, and light surface toning. Authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA, the signature grading a perfect GEM MINT 10. Part of a collection of signed 1949 Bowman that was sold at auction more than a decade ago, which we have been offering over our last two auctions. Their population report shows just six signed examples and this is its highest card with a technical grade! Philley himself passed in 2012 at age 91.
