Jimmy Moran's career felt forever on the cusp of MLB success, hitting and fielding well for a decade in the PCL without catching an MLB callup. Moran received a clutch of foreign cards from his Seals career thanks to their 1949 tour of Japan. Most of them share this classic on-field pose, cropped at different levels.

The SGC EX 5 rating reflects clean lines, touched corners with a bit of flaking at lower left, and centering nudged southward. The fisheye on his cap seems its only print flaw, front or back. Rarity counts for a lot when evaluating Hage's cards, as the combined SGC/PSA population reports show this is his only graded example with a confirmed ad back! This will be a key addition for any 1950 set and of particular interest to collectors seeking Hage's ads on the reverse.

Hage's Dairy of Southern California sponsored regional card sets from 1949-51, offered at concession stands for Lane Field Park, home of the PCL San Diego Padres. Most came packaged with popcorn and it's possible others entered the hobby via company or team promotions. 1950 singles prove tough indeed to find, as the PSA population report counts 66 total graded for its 128-player checklist. All 1950 cards come with black-and-white fronts and use similar text size for player and team names, distinguishing it from Hage's other years.
