Outstanding 16" x 21" Chicago Daily News supplement featuring the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox who squared off in the 1906 World Series. Printed on paper stock and distributed on October 13, 1906, the supplement displays images of both teams separated by advertising for the paper. Included in the images are Cubs Hall of Famers Mordecai Brown, Frank Chance, Joe Tinker, and Johnny Evers, and White Sox Hall of Famers George Davis, Ed Walsh, and Charles Comiskey. While central images remain quite attractive, wear surrounds the perimeter in the form of small chips to edges, a few small tears, and a fair bit of foxing. A horizontal fold is present at the center (presumably so the supplement could fit inside a newspaper) which is quite delicate and has became partially separated at the edges. A fantastic display piece from the Deadball Era showcasing the Wind City's interleague crosstown rivalry.
