8" x 10" Type I photo featuring members of the Brooklyn Football Dodgers heading to training camp in 1931. An early NFL franchise, the Dodgers entered the league in 1930 and called historic Ebbetts Field their home 15 seasons. High quality image provides a wonderfully detailed look at each player as they pose for photographers outside a railroad car. A one inch tear encroaches from the right edge and some visible creasing is present to corners. A large inscription, with identifications of all present in the image, has been handwritten on verso in pencil. It reads: "Group of Brooklyn Football Dodgers leaving Penn Station for Majestic Springs training camp. Left to right - John Tomaini, Swede Hanson, John Scalzi, Jery Nemecek, Jack McBride, Julius Yablok, Ray Wagner, Coach John Depler, Mike Stramiello." Authenticated as a Type I photo by PSA/DNA and their full LOA is included.
