Despite never playing an inning of major league ball Phifer Fullenwider has a name that you need to know for no reason other than that it is a great name. Fullenwider played 13 seasons at different levels of the minors winning 26 games in 1911 with the Columbia Commies of the South Atlantic League. Two years later he would win 20 more with the Buffalo Bisons of the International League where he would remain until 1916 winning 19 in 1914. He won 19 games twice more once with the 1917 Atlanta Crackers of the South Atlantic League and again in 1920 with the Rocky Mount Tar Heels of the Virginia League. Inbetween according to Keith Olbermann's blog Fullenwider quit the game returning to Rocky Mount North Carolina and working as a druggist. At the age of 34 however Fullenwider returned to the game pitching with the Tar Heels of Rocky Mount. Despite these fantastic performances not a single pitch was thrown in the Show. He did however have his own baseball card. Population Data SGC Population: 14 total graded 3 at this level 7 higher PSA Population: 5 total graded 0 at this level 2 higher
